Prasad Srinivasan spoke at the press conference on Tuesday, October 10. We are all in a state of shock and cannot even fathom the atrocity that has even happened. As a healthcare provider, as you know I am one, our oath says, “Do no harm”. The harm that has happened at the Whiting Forensic Division on the campus of Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown is unimaginable and unacceptable and has to be fully investigated. The investigation needs to be all the way from top to bottom. It is imperative that what happened behind closed doors become public knowledge. The financial abuse of over time is unacceptable. I would demand that we have a full investigation both on the healthcare side and the administrative side of the decisions that were made. This must happen immediately. It is our moral responsibility. In one voice, we will investigate what happened, “targeting the culture of cruelty” and shed light on the darkness.
